Bekim Jashari will also run for a term as mayor of Skenderaj
The mayor of Skenderaj municipality, Bekim Jashari, has announced that he will compete again for a mandate as mayor of this municipality.
Jashari declared that it is up to the citizens to decide whether he will have another mandate, Telegrafi reports.
"I have already confirmed that I will be a candidate for another mandate for the mayor of Skenderaj, whether I will have another mandate is in the hands of the citizens," he said on Kanal 10.
Otherwise, Bekim Jashari is the son of the country's hero, Hamëz Jashari. He had decided to run for mayor of Skenderaj in 2017, after his compatriots had asked him to do so through a petition they had organized.
Local elections are expected to be held in the fall of this year. /Telegraph/
