Bekim Jashari denies the inclusion of Besarta's sister in the list of MP candidates: Our family will not be involved in political parties

The former mayor of the Municipality of Skenderaj, Bekim Jashari, has reacted after reporting in some media that his sister, Besarta, will be on the list of candidates for deputies in the Vetëvendosje Movement.

Jashari has denied such news, saying that the family of the legendary commander Adem Jashari will stay out of active involvement in political parties and election processes.

"After the media's great interest in the position of our family regarding the speculations about the possibility of the inclusion of my sister, Besarta Jashari, as a candidate for deputy in the Assembly of Kosovo, we inform you that Besarta will not be part of any electoral list of no political party in the upcoming parliamentary elections", wrote Jashari in a post on Facebook, Telegrafi reports.

He further said that the Jashari family will not be involved in political parties.

"Our family remains steadfast in its position to stay out of active involvement in political parties and electoral processes, maintaining our commitment as impartial supporters of the development of our country," he said.

"At this important moment for Kosovo, we call for unity and full cooperation between all political actors in the country".

Jashari said that "only through joint commitment can we strengthen our state, extend its territorial sovereignty, strengthen democracy, advance international subjectivity and contribute to a sustainable economic development that provides employment and well-being for all citizens ". /Telegraph/
