Bekë Berisha resigns from the position of president of Sigal Prishtina

Bekë Berisha will not continue as president of Sigal Prishtina. Sources TELEGRAF announce that Berisha resigned on Saturday, just a few days after his appointment as head of the white-and-blue club.
Berisha was appointed chairman of Sigal Prishtina on January 14, while his resignation came after only three days in this position.
The decision is also related to institutional reactions, as the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports had emphasized that simultaneously holding the position of MP and managing a sports club constitutes a conflict of interest, demanding that Berisha choose one of them.
The situation at the club has been tense even before. The "Plisat" fan group has had constant clashes with the old leadership, while their dissatisfaction has not subsided even after Berisha's appointment as chairman.
According to them, the club is mismanaged and profound changes in management are needed.
A press conference was scheduled for 18:00 PM on Saturday, but it was not held. Instead, a closed-door meeting was held between representatives of "Plisa" and club officials, a meeting that is still ongoing.
According to information provided by Telegrafi, it is expected that in the coming days Sigal Prishtina will appoint a new interim chairman, until a long-term solution is found for the management of the club./Telegrafi/
