Ahead of Albania, Serbia is threatened with exclusion from World Cup qualifiers and a two-year suspension

The Serbian national team is reportedly being threatened with exclusion from qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, the Serbian Football Federation has announced.

As announced by the FSS, tickets for the most important match in the World Cup qualifiers, namely the tickets for the match with Albania, will not be put on free sale.

According to the medium Nova.rs, Serbia is threatened with expulsion from the competition (qualification), with a possible two-year suspension if any scandal occurs in that match.

Serbia and Albania meet on October 11 (Saturday) at 20:45 in Leskovac, and this decision by the FSS does not mean that the stands will be empty.

"In accordance with FIFA's assessment, the instructions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, consultations with UEFA and, above all, the bad experience from the previous match that was interrupted in 2014, and because of this our team was administratively left without a place in a major competition, the FSS Emergency Committee decided that for the upcoming duel between Serbia and Albania, which will be played on October 11 at the 'Dubocica' stadium in Leskovac, there will be no tickets on sale," it is written on the official FSS website.

Otherwise, FIFA punished Serbia four days ago for the behavior of its fans in the match against England, which they lost 0-5. /Telegraph/
