Bedri Hamza: If the first party does not create institutions, PDK must take responsibility

PDK's candidate for prime minister, Bedri Hamza, has said that the Vetëvendosje Movement, as the ruling party, expected a referendum in these elections.

However, on T7 television, he said that citizens showed LVV that they want change, as the opposition parties have the largest number of votes.

"The ruling party asked for a referendum, asked for 500 votes, the citizens did not give it, they showed that they want a change and the opposition parties have the largest number of votes."

Hamza adds that if the first winning party in the February 9 elections, for some reason, fails to form a government, then the PDK will take on this responsibility.

"Based on the constitution, it is up to the first party to create the institutions."

"We accept the voter's result. We expect institutions to be established in the most optimal possible timeframe, it's not that we expect to be the government at all costs."

"But I have expressed my willingness, that for us, if the first party for some reason fails to create institutions, then we must take responsibility for giving the country institutions," declared Hamza.
