"Beating with a cable on Eid", Astrit Isufi had threatened his wife that 'if you separate, he will kill the family'

Beatings with cables, threats to kill the family, warnings that he had carried a weapon in the past, KALLXO.com has managed to uncover details about the incident that was recorded in March of this year, where the victim was the wife of the now main suspect in the murder of the Morina brothers in Malisheva.
KALLXO.com reported on 06.11.2025, that there was an indictment against Isufi in April of this year for domestic violence and intimidation.
Regarding this event, KALLXO.com discovered that there was also a decision by the Basic Court of Pristina, which convicted Isuf for beating and threatening his wife.
And the story goes even further when it is decided that the sentence of the Pristina Court be changed by the Court of Appeals, the sentence is reduced, assessing that the effect of the convicted person's responsibility has been achieved.
Isufi was convicted by the Basic Court of Pristina on 07.04.2025.
The decision, which was obtained by KALLXO.com, provides details of the domestic violence incident and threats against his wife. The file describes that Astrit Isufi had beaten his wife on March 30, 2025, at around 15:00 PM, and had also previously threatened to kill her family if she left him.
This warning was also highlighted in the court file for the sentence he was given.
He beat his wife on the day of Eid.
On March 30, 2025, Astrit Isufi, according to the court file, at around 06:00 in the morning, while his wife was preparing the Brajram holiday lunch, the defendant woke up, called his wife, and hit her on the body with a towel, asking her to wake the children up.
The woman had gone to her children but they had not woken up and she had returned to Astrit Isufi to tell them.
The file obtained by KALLXO.com shows that Astrit Isufi became nervous and then began to attack his wife with slaps and punches to the face and body.
A few hours later, when Astrit Isufi returned home after going to greet his family for the Eid holiday, he asked his wife for food and the latter told him that a food product was missing, and this then again led to a fight which caused the second physical violence within the day from Astrit Isufi towards his wife.
The file explains that when Astrit realized that a product was missing, he took the plates of food and threw them on the ground, then grabbed his wife by the hand, dragged her into the room, and started hitting her with an electrical cord in various parts of her body.
At that moment, their daughter entered the room and asked her father to stop because he was 'suffocating his mother'.
Even though there was a request from the girl, the file explains that Astrit Isufi did not stop until he had enough evidence that the injured party in this case was his wife and then had her removed from the house.
On the same day, Astrit Isufi, according to the file obtained by KALLXO.com, had threatened his wife and warned her that if she separated from him, he would kill her entire family.
"You don't dare break up with me, because I'll kill your family, I'll do everything to you," describes the threat he made to Astrit Isufi, his wife, on March 30, 2025.
This situation had caused her anxiety, fear, and uncertainty about her life.
For all these actions that Astrit Isufi had committed against his wife, the Court in Pristina - Drenas Branch, had sentenced him to 154 days in prison and a 300 euro fine for domestic violence, while he was fined 500 euros for threats.
Jealousy is the cause of domestic violence
Without a phone, experiencing constant physical violence, Astrit Isufi's wife, in her statement at the detention hearing, said that her husband had not allowed her a phone, that she had not been able to report domestic violence earlier because she had no means, that her husband was jealous and did not love his wife's family and had told her many times that 'they have nothing to beg for here'.
KALLXO.com discovered that the woman had informed law enforcement months ago that her husband had a gun that he had previously owned.
After the incident, she stayed with her family, while the children stayed with their father so that their education would not be interrupted.
Astrit Isufi appealed the decision of the Foundation to the Court of Appeal.
Astrit Isufi was sentenced to about 5 months by the Basic Court of Pristina, while the Court of Appeals changed the first instance decision by changing the length of the sentence from 5 to 3 months for brutally beating his wife and threatening her.
KALLXO.com reveals that the Court of Appeal on 26.06.2025 had decided to approve the appeal of Astrit Isufi's defense attorney.
The Court of Appeals had decided to give Astrit Isufi a total of 3 months in prison and a fine of 300 euros for domestic violence, while it had not changed the fine for the criminal offense of intimidation.
Astrit Isufi's lawyer, Muhamet Binaku, had appealed the decision of the Basic Court of Pristina.
In the response to the complaint, the representative of Astrit's wife, Faik Morina, also appeared, indicating that the woman had returned to the house she shared with Astrit in Komoran to her children on 22.04.2025 with the agreement of both sides of the family.
The Court of Appeal had also held a panel session and had reviewed the appeal, which was not for an essential violation of the decision but for its amendment.
The defense attorneys for both parties in this case, Astrit Isufi and his wife, had supported the request to impose an alternative sentence, such as probation.
The Court of Appeal had reviewed the entire situation and had come to the conclusion to reduce the prison sentence of the convicted Astrit Isufi from 5 months to three months of imprisonment, adding that this sentence is milder, is in harmony with the intensity of the social danger of committing the criminal offense with the degree of responsibility of the accused, and this will serve as a general prevention.
