Bayern are confident they will secure a new contract for Upamecano

Bayern Munich are confident of reaching an agreement to extend Dayot Upamecano's contract until 2030, according to reports from journalist Nicolo Schira.
The Bavarian club has made the renewal of the French defender one of its top priorities, clearly reflecting the aim to maintain stability in the defensive department and to continue the long-term project with one of the most valued center-backs in Europe.
Upamecano, 26, has become a key figure in Bayern's defence since his transfer from RB Leipzig in 2021.
He has impressed with his speed, physical strength and ability to build play from the back, adapting to the team's tactical demands.
According to journalist Schira, club leaders are satisfied with the progress of negotiations and expect the deal to be finalized soon.
Closing the contract until 2030 would provide Bayern with continuity and stability in defense, reducing the need for costly interventions in the transfer market in the summer. /Telegraph/
