Bayern and Real Madrid plan to sign Wirtz in 2026, but Man City could snatch him away
Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz has ended up as a major target for three of Europe's biggest clubs.
Wirtz is expected to extend his contract with Bayer Leverkusen with a release clause until 2026 to avoid his departure this summer.
Thus, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are planning offers for the Leverkusen star in 2026.
However, according to journalist Christian Falk, Manchester City have an advantage in the race for Wirtz.
City are said to be pushing for a move this summer, with agent Giovanni Branchini working to convince the midfielder to join the English champions.
Wirtz is comfortable at Leverkusen and if Xabi Alonso stays, it could delay his departure – but City remain adamant. /Telegraph/
