Bayern Munich interested in Barcelona star who has a release clause

Barcelona are completely focused on trying to win the treble, but as the season draws to a close, many teams are already planning for next season.

In Catalonia, the focus will be more on the departures that will occur than on new arrivals.

The most discussed topic here will undoubtedly be Ronald Araujo.

The 26-year-old missed the first half of the season through injury, and with 18 months remaining on his contract, he renewed until 2031 in January.

According to a report from SportBayern Munich are interested in his situation. Araujo attracted the Bavarians' interest last year as well, when a possible move to Germany for 60-80 million euros was discussed.

Interest in the Uruguayan cooled after the German giants signed Kim Min-Jae from Napoli that summer.

With the South Korean international struggling to find his feet in Munich, Bayern are considering selling him, with Newcastle United, Chelsea and Juventus all interested.

The German club's leaders are looking to sign a new defender, with names like Jonathan Tah and Dean Huijsen being mentioned as possible alternatives.

In Tah's case, Barcelona have reached a verbal agreement with the Germany international this summer, but due to their concerns over the salary cap, there is no certainty whether they will be able to sign him.Telegraph/
