Barcelona to sell eight players this summer, including 'untouchable' player

Barcelona have reportedly made eight players available for transfer ahead of the summer transfer window.

It's been a good season so far for the Catalan side, despite the recent disappointment in the Champions League.

Currently, Hansi Flick's men lead Real Madrid by seven points at the top of the La Liga table, with just three matches left to play.

Barcelona have also won the Spanish Super Cup and the Copa del Rey this season and are likely to add the La Liga title to the list.

Looking ahead to the summer, it has been claimed that eight Barcelona players will be on the transfer list.

As reported by Spanish newspaper Diario Sport, players such as Inaki Pena, Ronald Araujo, Hector Fort, Fermín Lopez, Pablo Gavi, Pablo Torre, Pau Victor and Ansu Fati could all be sold this summer if the right offers arrive.

Young Spanish midfielder Gavi was once considered 'untouchable' after a brilliant rise to fame. However, the 20-year-old has been a regular in Flick's starting line-up after recovering from a serious knee injury.

As a result, Barcelona may decide that now is the time to cash in on the midfielder. Meanwhile, winger Fati, who was highly regarded when he first moved to the first team, has also struggled to perform to his full potential in recent months.

The outlet also added that Barcelona would be willing to listen to offers for any player except one, Lamine Yamal.

The club's sporting director, former player Deco, is said to be keen to strengthen the squad in four positions. It has been suggested that Barcelona are looking to add a new defender, a striker, an attacking midfielder and a goalkeeper if Wojciech Szczesny decides to leave at the end of the season.

Barcelona return to La Liga action on Thursday evening when they face Espanyol at the RCDE Stadium. /Telegraph/
