Barcelona officially complains to the Spanish Federation after heavy defeat, demands the publication of VAR audio

FC Barcelona have confirmed that they have sent an official complaint to the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) following controversial refereeing decisions in their 4-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final.
The Catalan club has requested clarification on several issues that, according to them, directly affected the course of the meeting.
"FC Barcelona denounces the existence of different decisions for actions of the same nature, particularly with regard to disciplinary sanctions. This discrepancy creates a feeling of double standards, which is incompatible with the principles of justice, equality and legal certainty that should guide the competition."
"The club highlights the lack of consistency in the interpretation of handballs inside the area, even in matches officiated by the same referees."

"Beyond isolated cases, FC Barcelona highlights the repetition of flagrant refereeing errors throughout the season, many of them decisive and to the detriment of the club."
"The club expresses reasonable doubts about the correct use and application of the technology, especially in minor decisions that have not been accompanied by definitive technical explanations. It also denounces the lack of transparency in the management and publication of VAR audio."
"FC Barcelona questions the lack of clear and homogeneous criteria when referees are sent to review actions on the monitor, which contributes to the perception of uncertainty and inequality in decision-making," the statement said.
Barcelona's complaint comes at a delicate moment in the season, with the club demanding more clarity and uniform standards in refereeing decisions in domestic competitions.Telegrafi
