Barcelona keeps treble dream alive, defeats Real Madrid in King's Cup final

Barcelona has scored a 3-2 victory over Real Madrid in the final of the King's Cup.

Almost throughout the entire first half, the Blaugranas were more dangerous and demanding, forcing Real Madrid to close back to avoid leaving any space.

After several consecutive attempts, Hansi Flick's team finally managed to find the lead.


It was the 28th minute of the match when Lamine Yamal wisely made a super pass to Pedri who, from outside the area, scored with a beautiful shot for 1-0.

In the second half, Real Madrid reacted by turning everything upside down with two goals scored.

Initially, Kylian Mbappe scored for 1-1 in the 70th minute from a penalty kick, while Aurelien Tchouameni took care of the lead for 'Los Blancos', who scored with a header for 2-1 in the 77th minute.

The Madrid team failed to hold on to the lead after Barcelona scored in the 87th minute through Ferran Torres to tie the game at 2-2.

A few seconds before the end of the match, Barcelona won a penalty with Raphinha, but it was canceled by the referee after a VAR review.

Hansi Flick's men managed to win the match in extra time, making it 3-2 in the 117th minute through Jules Kounde.

This was the second final this season that Barcelona defeated Real Madrid after triumphing in the Spanish Super Cup with a score of 5-2./Telegraph/
