Barcelona has officially submitted its candidacy to host the 2029 Champions League final, proposing the Spotify Camp Nou stadium as the host arena for the most important match in European club football.

The Catalan club returned to Camp Nou last year, although the stadium is still partially undergoing renovation. The full modernization of the facility is expected to be completed by the end of 2027, which would make the stadium fully functional for hosting major international events.

In addition to the Champions League final, Camp Nou has also been mentioned as one of the possible stadiums for the 2030 World Cup, which will be jointly organized by Spain, Portugal and Morocco.
