Barcelona are planning to sell two stars to finance the acquisition of Gyokere.

MEDIUM The National has reported that Barcelona are considering a move for Viktor Gyokeres, the Swedish striker who is excelling at Sporting Lisbon.

Although he is not their top priority, the 26-year-old is continuing to impress with his performances, making him an attractive option for the club.

Sporting Lisbon has set a price tag of 65 million euros for Gyokere, a figure that may be seen as high considering Barcelona's financial situation.

However, considering his form, physique and playing style, all of these fit into Hansi Flick's system.

Barcelona had initially planned to wait until 2026 to address the issue of the centre-forward, especially as Robert Lewandowski's contract expires soon, but the possibility of securing the Gyokeres now, at a price relatively lower than his future value, is being seriously considered.

In order for this move to materialize, Barcelona will need to generate sufficient funds and that will mean selling some key players such as Ronald Araujo and Ferran Torres.

Barcelona are open to offers in the region of €60m for the Uruguayan defender, amid offers he has received from the Premier League and the Saudi Super League.

Meanwhile, Torres, who has had a good season so far, could also be sold for the right price.

If an offer of 40 million euros comes in, Barcelona would be open to parting ways with the Spanish striker, who continues to be valued by the German coach.

The possible sales of these two players would make Barcelona earn around 100 million euros and make it easier to afford the cost of transferring Gyokere.Telegraph/
