Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has asked the club's management to find a new striker.
Despite 36-year-old Robert Lewandowski's impressive goalscoring record, the German coach is keen to bring in a player who can bring freshness and versatility to the Blaugrana's line-up.
Among the candidates to replace the Pole are 21-year-old RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, along with Swedish forwards Alexander Isak from Newcastle United and Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon.
It is noted that securing a transfer for Sesko could be challenging due to his long-term contract with the German club until 2029, while a move for Isak appears complicated by the large fee Newcastle would demand.
Barcelona's management are working to identify the optimal option to fit into Hansi Flick's system.
This season, Robert Lewandowski has played in 39 matches, scoring 34 goals and providing 3 assists.
Currently, Barcelona leads the La Liga standings with 57 points. /Telegraph/
