Barcelona begin talks over transfer of 18-year-old Arsenal sensation

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta recently commented that it is impossible to replicate the success that Barcelona has had with their La Masia academy.
However, that doesn't mean that no talented players are coming through the ranks at London Colney and in fact one of them has attracted the interest of Barcelona.
Central defender Ayden Heaven is one of the most promising players from Arsenal's academy, but the Gunners have found themselves in a difficult position regarding his contract.
Heaven's contract expires at the end of the season and while they have offered the 18-year-old the option of a renewal, a number of big clubs have shown interest.
Barcelona, along with Eintracht Frankfurt and Manchester United have opened contacts for Heaven and Fabrizio Romano has reported that the 'Red Devils' are leading the race for his services.

The Italian journalist has revealed that United are confident a deal can be reached soon, after Heaven was present at Old Trafford on Thursday, where United triumphed 2-1 over Rangers.
The Blaugrana club has an advantage in terms of transferring young players. Despite their prestige alone, they are known for integrating players from the academy into the first team.
In the center of defense, Barcelona has several options, but there is uncertainty regarding the futures of Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen and Eric Garcia.
Heaven made his Arsenal debut in the EFL Cup earlier this season, appearing for 10 minutes against Colchester./Telegraph/
