Alarm at Barcelona: Pedri's injury is more serious than initially predicted

Pedro's injury during Barcelona's Champions League match in Prague turns out to be more serious than initially thought, Spanish media report.
According to journalist Javi Miguel of Diario AS, the Catalan midfielder struggled throughout the match, affected by the cold conditions and the tight marking of the opponents.
In the 58th minute of the match, Pedri fell to the field, straining the back of his right thigh, and was immediately replaced by the technical staff.
Initial assessments point to a possible muscle tear, while final medical tests will be carried out in Barcelona in the coming hours.

If the diagnosis is confirmed, the 21-year-old is expected to be out for three to four weeks, another blow for the midfielder who has had recurring injury problems in the past.
This development is a serious concern for coach Hansi Flick, who currently has neither Gavi nor Andreas Christensen available due to injuries.
The situation becomes even more difficult as Frenkie de Jong will miss the final Champions League group stage match against Copenhagen due to suspension.
Barcelona is expected to release an official statement on Pedro's health soon. /Telegraph/
