Balkan wins penalty shootout against Pristina and advances to the quarterfinals of the Kosovo Cup

Balkan has secured qualification for the quarterfinals of the Kosovo Cup after triumphing over Pristina on penalties with a score of 11-10, as the match after regular time and overtime had ended 3-3.
Prishtina took the lead in the first seconds of the match, scoring through Philippe Boueye for a 1-0 score after just 18 seconds of play.
The capital team managed to find the second goal in the second half, making it 2-0 through Marko Ilievski who was assisted by Dren Zeqiri.
Pristina's double advantage did not deter the Balkans, who continued to fight until the end, and this was rewarded to them.
The visitors initially narrowed the deficit to 2-1 in the 78th minute after Prishtina defender Ardian Limani sent the ball into his own net.
Just a few minutes later, after an illegal tackle inside the area, Balkan won a penalty which striker Almir Kryeziu converted to make it 2-2.
90 minutes were not enough and the match had to go into extra time, where two more goals were scored, but again the match did not produce a winner.
Balkan scored the first in the 98th minute through Ivica Batarelo who scored a Euro goal from distance for the score 3-2.
Afrim Tovërlan's team managed to come back again, tying the score at 3-3 in the 102nd minute through Lorik Mehmeti, who made a beautiful dribble inside the area and then beat the opposing goalkeeper.
So the match went to penalties, where the guests proved to be more accurate, triumphing with the score 11-10./Telegrafi/
