Baked meatballs with cheese: A very tasty dish

Cheese meatballs are a delicious and juicy version of "regular" meatballs.

Ricotta gives them a creamy note and delicate texture, making them lighter than classic meatballs, and their flavor is perfect.

You can prepare them with turkey, beef, pork, or a combination of meats of your choice.

The ricotta cheese meatballs are baked in the oven and then dipped in a thick tomato sauce. You can also use store-bought sauce to save time during preparation. Serve with your choice of side dish – just lettuce, potatoes, rice or pasta.

The amount of ingredients in this recipe is enough for 4 generous servings, reports Telegraph.

Ingredients:

For the meatballs:

▪ 450 gr ground turkey or beef
▪ 125 gr ricotta cheese
▪ 60 g parmesan cheese
▪ 30 g of bread crumbs
▪ 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
▪ 1 teaspoons of salt
▪ 1/2 teaspoon spice mix
▪ olive oil, for greasing the baking sheet

For the sauce:

▪ 800 ml ready-made tomato sauce
▪ 15 g of bread crumbs
▪ 30 g parmesan cheese
▪ 2 teaspoon of olive oil
▪ 1 teaspoon parsley, finely chopped

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Mix all the ingredients for the meatballs and form about 20 small balls.

Grease an ovenproof dish with olive oil and arrange the meatballs.

Bake for 20-25 minutes in the middle of the oven.

Carefully remove the meatballs from the pan, but do not turn off the oven.

Pour the prepared tomato sauce into the baking dish with the meatballs and mix well.

Mix the bread crumbs, Parmigiano cheese, 2 teaspoons olive oil, and parsley in a small bowl.

Sprinkle the prepared mixture over the meatballs in the sauce.

Return the dish to the oven for 5-7 minutes.

Turn on the fan and bake for another 2-3 minutes until the crumbs are crispy.

Serve warm and enjoy.
