When BMW introduced the second-generation X2 last year, questions also began about whether the X4 has a future in the increasingly crowded lineup.
Well, now an answer is known – the brand will stop production of the X4.
Company officials have announced that the Mercedes GLC Coupe rival will not live to see another generation, Telegraph reports.
BMW explained that there is no longer room in the lineup for the X4 now that the X2 has grown.
Even the price gap between the two models has narrowed significantly, so it makes no sense to keep both in the lineup.
If you need another car after the X4 goes away, the German luxury brand says the new X3 “replaces it.
However, the manufacturer does not say when it intends to end production of the X4. /Telegraph/
