The Municipality of Istog has launched a month-long awareness campaign against human trafficking, which will last from October 18 to November 18, 2025.

The campaign was opened by the Child Protection and Reintegration Officer, within the Human Rights and Communities Sector in the Directorate for Municipal Administration, and the first activity was held with students of grades VI, VII and VIII at the "Trepça" Primary and Secondary Education School in Banja, reports Telegraph.

The aim of this initiative is to prevent human trafficking – one of the most serious forms of human rights violation – and to raise public awareness about the importance of early identification of potential victims.

During the campaign, the role of the community, educational institutions and families in preventing trafficking cases will be emphasized, as well as ways to refer cases to responsible institutions. /Telegrafi/
