The road on the Qafë Thore-Theth axis has been completely blocked as a result of avalanches in the area near the panoramic tunnels, forcing authorities to stop vehicle traffic for safety reasons.
According to the announcement of the Albanian Road Authority, despite the intervention of clearing cutters, the work to open the road has become impossible as the avalanches are still active and pose a danger to workers and vehicles.
For this reason, traffic in the Qafë Thores area has been suspended until the rainfall activity decreases and the avalanches cease.
