The leadership of Arben Taravari's Alliance for Albanians has unanimously decided to resign collectively on the eve of the Assembly and party Congress.

"At the last meeting of the Party Presidency, after a constructive and democratic debate, the Presidency of the Alliance for Albanians unanimously decided to resign collectively on the eve of the Assembly and Party Congress.

This decision was made with the conviction that the party needs organizational freshness, the inclusion of new cadres, and deep and comprehensive reforms, which will further strengthen the political profile and internal functioning of the Alliance for Albanians, as well as a reflection on the electoral results of the local elections.

The party's leadership, until the holding of the Assembly and Party Congress, will be exercised by the chairman of the Alliance for Albanians, Mr. Arben Taravari, while the Party Assembly will officially confirm the resignations.

According to the statutory deadlines, the Party Assembly will be held in mid-February, while the Party Congress is expected to be held no later than the fall of this year.

"The Alliance for Albanians remains committed to the principles of internal democracy, continuous reform and the dignified representation of the interests of Albanians," say the ASH.
