After a wonderful year at Club Brugge where he also completed the move to AC Milan, Albanian midfielder Ardon Jashari has also won the "Golden Boot" in Belgium, which is awarded to the best player of the year.

Jashari defeated his former teammates, Christos Tzolis and Hans Vanaken, who were considered the main favorites before the start of voting.

This award is particularly special, as Jashari only managed to collect points in one round of voting. His summer transfer to AC Milan made it impossible to receive further votes, but his performances in the first half of 2025 proved decisive.

After that serious injury, this trophy has an even greater meaning for Jashari.

"It's an incredible feeling. It's a great honour for me to win this trophy. After the last six months, with injuries and difficult moments, this means a lot."

"I had a wonderful time in Belgium. Looking back, I will never forget Belgium. It has truly become a second home for me."

The Swiss footballer travelled specially to receive the award. After a match against Fiorentina, he boarded a plane to Ostend almost immediately.

"I barely had 15 minutes after the match. Here I had a five-minute break and then I went straight on stage."

Meeting his former teammates visibly touched Jashari. He spoke of a very warm welcome and emphasized the respect and appreciation he still feels for the players and staff of Club Brugge.

"As soon as I have some time, I want to have a little party there."

"I have grown as a player and as a person. This trophy, this country and this club make my story even more special," he underlined.Telegrafi
