Kosovo citizens can apply from today to benefit from the Vulnerable Electricity Consumer Protection Program for the period 2025–2026.
The application is made through the eKosova platform, in the Services - Grants and Subsidies section, at this link: https://ekosova.rks-gov.net/562.
According to the official announcement, families who applied last year do not need to reapply, as their data has been automatically carried over for the new year, reports Telegrafi.
However, if there are changes in the number of family members, residence or electricity meter, these can be updated in the existing form, before clicking the "Apply" option.
This program aims to support the most economically vulnerable families during the winter season, making it easier to cope with electricity costs.
Main criteria for benefit:
Be citizens of the Republic of Kosovo;
Have an income of up to 150 euros per member;
Have real estate worth up to 100,000 euros.
Subsidies will be calculated according to a calculation formula based on average household income and monthly electricity bill.
The application will be open for six months, but authorities invite all new applicants and those with changes in their data to apply during October, as retroactive payments will not be made. /Telegraph/
