Apple to launch new accessibility features for users with vision, hearing, and other disabilities

Apple has announced a number of new features that will be part of the next iOS update, aimed at supporting users with vision, hearing, and other disabilities.

Announced on the eve of Global Accessibility Awareness Day on May 15, these innovations include improvements in the use of braille and more, reports Telegraph.

The company also introduced "accessibility labels" for apps on the App Store, asking developers to show features that make apps more accessible for everyone.

Apple emphasized that all of these features are built into the device at no additional cost.

"We're democratizing accessibility," said Sarah Herrlinger, senior director of global accessibility policy at Apple, "by ensuring these tools are available to everyone from the moment they open their device."

Experts say these updates — especially improved support for braille — could be essential for students and users with disabilities. /Telegraph/
