Apple solved the problem with physical tools for hacking the iPhone

Physical attacks, which can be used to access iPhones and other locked devices, have been used against specific individuals.

Apple has released iOS 18.3.1, iPadOS 18.3.1, and iPadOS 17.7.5 updates to address a "zero-day" vulnerability that allowed attackers to access data on locked devices.

The update fixes the operating system and protects it from attacks in USB Restricted Mode.

Apple first implemented this mode with iOS 11.4.1 in 2018, to prevent attempts to bypass login passwords and circumvent the encryption that protects user data.

This update was released on February 10th and is available for the following devices:

iPhone XS and newer models
iPad Pro 13-inch, iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation and later), iPad Pro 11-inch (1st generation and later)
iPad Air (3rd generation and newer)
iPad (7th generation and newer)
iPad mini (5th generation and newer) /Telegraph/
