"Week Against Corruption 2025" starts with symbolic action by IKL, FOL and INPO

"Week Against Corruption 2025" kicked off on Monday with a symbolic action organized by the coalition of non-governmental organizations Kosovo Institute for Law (IKD), FOL Movement and Initiative for Progress (INPO), with the aim of raising the voice against corruption and policies that are paralyzing the functioning of the state.
At the opening of the symbolic action, the coalition of NGOs has unfurled a banner announcing the holding of a one-day strike on Monday, with the message: "Today we are on strike. We protest against corruption and the policies that are paralyzing the state."
During the press conference, Arrita Rezniqi from IKL emphasized that this action is a call for action and institutional reflection, at a time when the country is facing numerous violations of the law, stagnation of reforms and the necessity to fight corruption. She added that the positions and analyses of civil society, warnings about the capture of institutions and systemic phenomena have not been accompanied by appropriate institutional reaction or action.
The NGO coalition has identified several key problems, including: the lack of full justice reform, the failure to start the vetting process, corporatization in the prosecutorial system, the adoption of unconstitutional laws, the lack of an Anti-Corruption Strategy, the suspension of the strategic dialogue by the US, the lack of social dialogue, as well as attacks and pressures on journalists, civil society and justice institutions. All of these are affecting the lives of citizens, the rule of law, economic development and trust in democracy.
As part of today's action, a short video was also published that presents some of the key reasons why the IKL-FOL-INPO organizations have decided to protest in this way. /Oath for Justice/
