The Council of Public Prosecutors elected the acting chief state prosecutor in today's session.

Anita Topolova Isaylovska will replace Ljubcho Kovevski, who submitted an irrevocable resignation on December 17.

The Prosecutors' Council unanimously voted for Topolova Isaylovska, who until now, for a long time, was the Deputy Chief Prosecutor.

Anita Topolova-Isaylovska was first elected as a prosecutor in 2009, in 2013 she joined the Supreme Prosecutor's Office and three years later she was promoted to republican prosecutor and deputy to the then state public prosecutor Marko Zvrlevski.

Anita Topolova-Isaylovska will serve as interim prosecutor until a new state prosecutor is elected, and for no more than half a year. /Telegraph/
