Android 16 will also improve security for banking apps. Google is working closely with UK banks like Monzo, NatWest, and Revolut. During a screen-sharing session, the system will prompt the user to end the call when trying to open a banking app, as this is one of the most common ways that fraudsters obtain sensitive user data.

Google also uses artificial intelligence to filter out fake and unwanted messages when using Google’s default messaging app. The AI ​​will detect malicious app activity on the device, as some of them try to hide or change icons. The machine learning algorithm continuously scans text or binary patterns to detect the possibility of malware.
