A new elevator has been put into operation in the building of the Directorate of Administration and Public Services in the Municipality of Gjilan, which is dedicated to people with disabilities, enabling them easier and safer access to municipal services.

In addition, a special counter has been opened for this category at the Civil Status Office, for faster access to administrative services, reports Telegraph.

The Acting Head of the Civil Status Sector at the Directorate of Administration, Fadil Ademi, said that after more than 25 years, the citizens of Gjilan finally have appropriate conditions for access to this facility.

"Under the governance of Mayor Alban Hyseni, this has become a reality. With dedication to every citizen, we have enabled better conditions for people with disabilities, who now benefit from the new elevator that provides full access to the building," Ademi declared.

He added that people with disabilities now receive services faster and easier at the special Civil Registry counter, which is dedicated specifically for them.

"These are concrete works that show care for every citizen of our municipality. We continue with work and projects that make people's lives easier," emphasized Ademi.

Also, as part of the infrastructural improvements in this directorate, toilets for people with disabilities have been renovated and adapted. /Telegrafi/
