It's confirmed, an affordable electric Audi is coming

It's safe to say that Audi's transition to a fully electric lineup is not unfolding as planned.

The automaker recently closed its Brussels factory due to poor sales of the Q8 E-Tron.

In 2024, demand for electric vehicles fell by 7.8% to 164,480 units.

And given this decline, Audi is already reconsidering its ambitious goal of going fully electric by 2032.

In addition, it is likely to continue launching new gas-powered cars after 2026.

Despite these difficulties, the company is moving forward with expanding its electric vehicle line.

After prioritizing larger, more expensive models, Audi is finally developing a more affordable entry-level EV.

Initially planned for 2027, the model's launch has been confirmed for 2026.

CEO Gernot Dollner confirmed that a new electric vehicle in the A3 segment is coming.

But it didn't reveal many details about the new electric car, except that it will be built in Ingolstadt, Germany. /Telegraph/
