A police officer in Michigan, USA, attempted to return $5 worth of lost money to its owner, but the owner thought it was a scam during a phone call with the police.
American police announced on social media that they had found the money in the middle of a street, so they contacted the nearest bank, which, through the wallet and identification, confirmed the identity of the owner, who had withdrawn it a few hours earlier.
They immediately called him, but the owner of the money initially thought it was a call intended to deceive him, the Telegraph reports.
"The person we contacted thought it was a fraud scheme, and therefore hung up the phone several times," police said.
But after several attempts, they managed to convince him that it was the real police and that they had found his lost money. /Telegraph/
