Amanda Seyfried spent 'the only money she had' on dresses for 'Mean Girls' premiere

Amanda Seyfried revisited the start of her career and the Mean Girls premieres she attended without the help of a stylist.

The "Dropout" star told Jimmy Kimmel that she picked out her dresses for the 2004 red carpet and even did her own makeup.

The 36-year-old actress said: "I didn't have a stylist, the only money I had I used to buy a dress. There were two premieres and so I had to buy two dresses because I had to wear different dresses."

Kimmel showed photos of two of her early red carpet outfits as she got tight. "I didn't know any of the rules so I was wearing a white bra and black underwear. I paid $600 for that dress," said the star.
