"In legal terms, there was a possibility for one of the municipal councilors to be appointed deputy mayor, who would have delegated powers in the event of the mayor's absence. In practical terms, I am his right hand in daily affairs. You know the volume of mayor Bilall Kasami's work and he appreciated having a right hand."

"Since I was young, I have been interested in social issues. The best years that I remember and that have shaped me the most as a person are those years of oppositionism. You know that all that activity that we have done, all those guerrilla actions, together with friends we have often ended up in police stations, but this has made us continue even stronger. I even thank them for what happened to me," said Qamili.

Regarding Bilall Kasami's new mandate in the Municipality of Tetova, Qamili said that many projects will be implemented.

"The first mandate was to stabilize Tetova from the mess left by the previous leadership. In the next four years, many major infrastructure projects will be implemented in Tetova. Two new high schools are being built, which has never happened before. The 7 Marsi Gymnasium and the Textile School will be built with new facilities. The priority is to complete the city stadium, where Shkëndija will eventually play the European Games in the city stadium. New swimming pools are being built, sports halls are being built. The municipality of Tetova is the only one that has asphalted more roads after the elections than before the elections. Tetova will have its basic problems fixed," said Qamili.

He also spoke about the Commission for the Renaming of Streets in Tetovo, of which he was elected chairman, and said that the new names of Tetovo's streets will reflect the reality and identity of the city.

"The streets of Tetova should above all reflect the reality of Tetova, because the current names do not reflect any reality of Tetova. This applies to both the Albanian community and the Macedonian community. We have a street in Tetova called "Lenin", a school called "Nikolla Shtejn", which do not represent anyone," said Albi Qamili. /Telegraph/
