Albanian singers who were decorated with gratitude by the heads of state during 2018

2018 has been a very successful year in terms of culture and sports.

Many Albanian singers of international fame visited Kosovo, while a large part of them were decorated with gratitude by the highest heads of state.

The world-renowned Albanian singer, Rita Ora, visited Kosovo on February 17, 2018, where she held a free concert on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Kosovo's Independence.

On the same day, she was decorated with the "goddess in filigree" by the prime minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, who received her together with her family members in his office. In addition to the prime minister, she was also honored with gratitude by the president of the country, Hashim Thaçi.

The internationally known Kosovar tenor, Ramë Lahaj, was also honored with gratitude by the heads of state during 2018. On May 7, 2018, he was received at the office of President Thaçi, where he was decorated with the "Medal of the 10th anniversary of Independence".

The internationally famous Albanian artist, Dua Lipa, visited Kosovo during 2018 as well. On August 10, 2018, she held a huge concert for fans as part of the "Sunny Hill" festival, which she held in Germia Park, in Pristina. During these days, she was also given the "Key to the City" by the mayor of the municipality of Pristina, Shpend Ahmeti.

On July 20, 2018, the singer Era Istrefi was welcomed to the office of the President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, where she was awarded the "Jubilee Medal of the 10th Anniversary of Independence". This award was given to her in honor of the promotion of Kosovo in the international arena.

"I felt very good when the president decorated me. He thanked me for the tireless work involved in contributing to the country. Contributing has always been important to me. He promised me help and support", he said Era Istrefi in an interview for Telegrafin regarding this meeting.

On August 5, 2018, the very successful Albanian rapper in Germany, Azet, was welcomed to the Presidential Residence of the historical President of Kosovo, Ibrahim Rugova.

He met all the family members in order, as a sign of gratitude he was presented with a plate from the late president's collection, for which he was happy, and above all for the fact that he had the opportunity to meet the members of this family.

The very successful Albanian singer in Germany, Ardian Bujupi, on August 3, 2018, was welcomed in the office of the mayor of the municipality of Drenas, Ramiz Lladrovci.

The latter gave him a thank you for the promotion he has made for Kosovo in general, but also for the successful career he has built in Germany. On the same date, Ardian Bujupi also held a concert for his fans. many of the municipality from which it originates, Drenas.

During the month of August, the well-known singer of popular music was also honored with gratitude by the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi. The latter presented her with the "Medal for Special Merits", thanks to her successful career over the years.

In the office of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, during 2018, the well-known singer, Leonora Jakupi, was also received. She was given an acknowledgment, while she was promised to bring the remains of her late father to Kosovo.

And so it happened, on September 29, the remains of the martyr Qazim Jakupi, at the same time the singer's father, were brought to Kosovo and on the same day a memorial academy was organized in honor of the deceased.

On November 29, singers Vesa Luma, Aurela Gaçe and Elhaida Dani were welcomed in the office of the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.

The same rewarded them with gratitude, giving them the "Clock Tower" Sculpture of Tirana, in honor of their successful career over the years.
