A meeting between the Political Directors of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Albania and Kosovo was held at the premises of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania. The meeting focused on issues of bilateral cooperation, European integration and regional cooperation.
The delegations were led by Gazmend Barbulushi, Political Director for Strategic Affairs at the Albanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Mentor Tahiri, Director of the Department for Europe, EU and the Region at the Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting was welcomed by the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, who praised the close cooperation between the two countries and emphasized the importance of continuous inter-institutional coordination.
"Today, in the premises of #MEPJ, a meeting was held between the Political Directors of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania and that of the Republic of Kosovo, covering issues of bilateral cooperation, regional cooperation and EU integration.
At the start of the meeting, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, welcomed the delegation from Kosovo, appreciating the close cooperation between the two countries and the importance of coordination between our institutions.
The meeting between the delegations continued with a fruitful conversation regarding the concrete definition of the next steps and activities, both in the context of bilateral cooperation and in the regional and multilateral context. Strengthening Kosovo's subjectivity through new recognitions and strengthening its role in regional structures was part of the discussions between the delegations.
