After the "head-to-head" meeting with Erdogan, Zelensky arrives in Tirana

As part of preparations for the European Political Community summit, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, arrived in Tirana this evening.

Zelensky's plane arrived in the Albanian capital at around 10:00 pm, after flying from Turkey, where the Ukrainian president held a "head-to-head" meeting with his counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

From Ankara before departing for Tirana, Zelensky thanked the Turkish president for their talks today and said that Erdogan recognized Crimea as Ukrainian territory, describing this as a "very important signal and a sign of political support."

At Rinas Airport, Zelensky was welcomed by Defense Minister Pirro Vengu, Albanian media report.

The European Political Community meeting will have the attention of all of Europe and will be held for the sixth time in Tirana, with the presence of all EU leaders and beyond.

European Political Community is a platform for political and strategic discussions on the future of Europe, which was born in 2022. Its creator is French President Emmanuel Macron, in an effort to keep the continent united, in the face of threats coming from Russia, a country that, along with Belarus, was deliberately left out of this forum.

The political community meets twice a year, alternating between an EU country and a country outside it.

The first meeting was held in Prague on October 6, 2022, while the last in the series was last November in Hungary.

The objective of the Political Community is to provide a policy coordination platform for all European countries, promoting political dialogue and cooperation on issues of common interest to the continent. /Telegraph/
