"Adolescence" triumphs at Critics Choice: four awards and historic win for Owen Cooper

Netflix series adolescence has scored another big success in awards season, winning four awards at the Critics Choice Awards, held on Sunday night in Los Angeles.
After winning eight Emmy Awards in 2025, the production was also named Best Limited Series, confirming its high critical acclaim.
The spotlight was on 16-year-old Owen Cooper, who was named Best Supporting Actor, making him one of the youngest winners in the award's history. Meanwhile, Stephen Graham won Best Actor, while Erin Doherty was honored as Best Supporting Actress for their performances in the series, writes Dailymail.

adolescence tells the story of a boy accused of murder, addressing the impact of "incel" culture on the internet.
With around 45 million monthly views, the series has become one of the most watched and discussed productions globally, especially for its social message.

During his acceptance speech, Owen Cooper said: "Thank you to the critics and everyone behind the scenes who made this night possible. The past year has been a real whirlwind for me and my family and has changed our lives forever."
His victory comes after strong competition from well-known television names.
Stephen Graham, accepting his award, also emphasized the human values of the project: "We are all equal.
