Accusations and counter-accusations between Rama and Sveçla at the extraordinary meeting of the Pristina Assembly

The Pristina Assembly is holding an extraordinary meeting today (November 27) to transfer own funds from 2024 to 2025 and approve the budget for 2026.
The capital is facing an extraordinary financial crisis, while municipal authorities are accusing the acting government led by Albin Kurti of not having allocated them at least their own funds.
"I publicly request 35 million euros, of which 25 (million) are own funds, and 10 million are government grants, which do not require procedures in the assembly, but for the Ministry of Finance to allocate," Rama said, reports Telegrafi.
The head of the LVV group in the Pristina assembly, Gëzim Sveçla, accused Rama of mismanagement, saying that the reason for the lamentations made by the mayor of the capital in television studios was found in that meeting.
"This meeting could have been called a month, two or three months ago, but Rama used this situation for the Local Elections, while his boss (addressing Lumir Abdixhiku) will use it for the parliamentary elections," Sveçla said.
The Central Electoral Commission has certified the final results for the second round of local elections, paving the way for the swearing-in of Mayor Përparim Rama for his second term, which will take place 15 days from this confirmation.
Likewise, the new assembly members in the Pristina Municipal Assembly were sworn in, while a lot of work remains until the approval of the budget for 2026, as the country has gone to extraordinary elections to be held on December 28, 2025. /Telegrafi/
