The Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police, after conducting several months of investigations, as well as through the implementation of special investigative measures, in relation to the case coded "Bregdeti" on 21.01.2026 at around 23:00 near the border crossing in Merdare, detained the suspect HS, who was driving a truck with local license plates, and during the search, 68 packages filled with suspected narcotic substances of the type marijuana were found hidden in the truck, with a total weight of 76 kilograms and 800 grams.

According to a media release, a search warrant was also executed at the suspect's home, with the assistance of the NJRSH unit, and during the search, the following were found: 1 firearm with 5 9.9 mm caliber cartridges, 2 cars, 1 truck, 1 mobile phone and 2.950 euros in cash.


"In continuation of the operation, on 22.01.2026, raids were carried out in two more locations, the houses of two Kosovar male suspects in the village of Godishnjak - Podujevë and during their search, 4 packages filled with suspected narcotic substance of the type marijuana weighing 4 kilograms and 454 grams, 2 cars, 2 mobile phones, empty black nylon bags and adhesive, which served to package the narcotics."

As stated in the announcement, a Signasauser gas firearm was found.

By order of the state prosecutor, a 48-hour detention order has been issued against the three suspects, while the state prosecutor will promptly undertake all further investigative actions.
