The Democratic League of Kosovo has launched its first rally in the city of Obiliq today.

From here, the candidate for prime minister, Lumir Abdixhiku, promised them 5 billion euros in investments in infrastructure, energy, water, railways, sports, and also in culture, as well as a new gas power plant for energy independence.

"5 billion euros of investments in infrastructure, energy, water, railways, sports and culture. New gas power plant for energy independence. Roads that connect regions. Projects that create jobs," Abdixhiku said during the rally.

Abdixhiku emphasized that LDK believes that economic development cannot come by sacrificing people's health and that energy cannot be produced without environmental standards.

"It cannot exist without social responsibility. And that Obiliq cannot remain a sacrifice zone for political comfort. Therefore, our program foresees serious investments in clean energy, in the modernization of existing capacities and in real environmental protection", declared Abdixhiku.
