Abazi, the dismissed ambassador to Australia: The broom was used in the wrong place, Kosovo may have consequences

Hajdin Abazi has called as inappropriate the decision of the President, Vjosa Osmani, to dismiss him from the position of the Ambassador of Kosovo to Australia.

He said for Klan Kosova that the decree for release from duty was delivered to him this Thursday.

"While some colleagues have completed their full mandate, my mandate has been cut in half. I am an institutionalist, it is an unfair decision, but I will implement it in accordance with all norms", said Abazi.

"Following the developments in Kosovo when they said that they will act according to the law, I expected that the mandate will continue until the end. Minister Gërvalla said today that the mandate is four years, but for me it was cut in half".

Abazi emphasized that the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Presidency of Kosovo is also dangerous for the country's diplomacy.

"According to the Law of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the political key is 50 percent who can be and 50 percent must be career ambassadors. When the foreign minister proposes for an ambassador, it goes to the assembly, he is no longer a political ambassador, but he is an ambassador of the state of Kosovo".

"The broom was used in the wrong place because the state could be compromised and there could be consequences", said Hajdin Abazi, among other things.
