The Food and Veterinary Agency announces that over 40 tons of unsafe food have been destroyed from an illegal warehouse in Skopje.
The AUV says that the MIA also found 360 kilograms of meat products and sweets in a goods transport vehicle, which were also destroyed.
"Following the notification from the Ministry of Interior that an illegal food warehouse is operating in the Maxhari neighborhood in Skopje, the Food and Veterinary Agency (AUV), in cooperation with the police, conducted an extraordinary inspection of an illegal facility where food of animal and non-animal origin was stored.
"In the facility that served as a food warehouse, which is not registered with the FVA as an operator, the Agency's inspection services found 40.751 kilograms of unsafe products (dried meat and sweets), for which a decision was issued and which were destroyed," say the FVA.
