The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) has managed to form its Parliamentary Group in the Kosovo Assembly.

The news was confirmed to the Telegraph by AAK spokesperson Kushtrim Xhemaili.

Although Ramush Haradinaj's party has only five MPs – one short of the minimum required number of six members to form a parliamentary group – it has secured this through the support of MP Duda Balje.

AAK was in a pre-election coalition with Nisma, but Fatmir Limaj had decided to leave this party, attempting to reach a coalition agreement with LVV, as an attempt to form a government.

With its merger, AAK has fulfilled the necessary condition and will now have a separate parliamentary group in the Assembly.

Balje, along with the SDU, received one mandate or 0.32% of the votes. /Telegraph/
