A person held a woman hostage inside the QKUK – police, firefighters and QKUK provide details of the case

A woman was held hostage by a person at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCK) in the early hours of the morning.

Regarding this, Telegrafi has contacted the University Clinical Center of Kosovo.

"The University Clinical Center of Kosovo was notified in the early hours of the morning of an incident within the clinic premises. Emergency measures were immediately taken by the institution, and the Kosovo Police were also notified. After the measures taken, the case was isolated and does not pose a risk," the UCCK statement said.

The Kosovo Police also announced that at around 06:30 AM, a woman sought help from the police after feeling intimidated by her husband, who had gone to her workplace and restricted her movement.

According to the Kosovo Police spokesperson for the Pristina region, Agron Borovci, the police arrived at the scene, took all necessary actions for the safety of the complainant, and neutralized the actions of the suspect.

"The police are currently handling the reported circumstances related to the case, while the suspect has been escorted to the police station as part of the ongoing investigation," said Borovci.

Meanwhile, the commander of the fire brigade battalion, Muhamet Reqani, told the Telegraph that they assisted the Police in this case after a person attempted to jump from the 6th floor of the Internal Medicine Clinic, making it possible to access it through the window and the door.

"Today at 07:40, the BPZ was notified of a case where a person at the Internal Medicine Clinic was attempting to jump from the 6th floor. We, as the BPZ, have assisted the Kosovo Police with our equipment and resources, enabling access through the window and door," said Reqani. /Telegraph/
