Today at around 12:00, a fire broke out in a warehouse in a building on "Skënderbeu" Square in Pristina.

The news was confirmed to the Telegraph by the director of the fire department, Malë Gashi, as well as the spokesperson for the Kosovo Police for Pristina, Enis Pllana.


Gashi said that teams immediately went to the scene after electrical cables and fuses were burning in the facility's warehouse.

As Gashi said, the teams have extinguished the fire.

"Today, at 12:24, information was received about a fire in the warehouse of the former UNION building. The teams immediately went to the scene, cables and electrical fuses were burning in the warehouse of the building. The teams extinguished the fire in a short time. The space was ventilated after smoke had formed," said Gashi.

Meanwhile, Pllana said that investigative work is currently continuing to fully clarify the circumstances that characterize the event.

"Today at around 12:30, an active fire was reported in a warehouse of a building in Skanderbeg Square in Pristina. The police immediately went to the scene, and firefighters were also called.
