Kosovo Police have detained a person suspected of criminal offenses of corruption and fraud in public procurement procedures, following an action conducted in cooperation with the Basic Prosecution Office in Prizren.
According to the Police announcement, the investigations were led by the Financial Investigations Sector and led to the conduct of authorized controls in several locations, on 15.09.2025. During the operation, electronic devices and other material evidence suspected of being related to illegal activity were seized.
The police announced that a firearm with ammunition was also found at one of the locations, for which a separate case has been initiated and the relevant unit has been engaged.
The suspect was interviewed in the presence of the defense attorney and, by decision of the prosecutor in the case, was detained for 48 hours.
The Kosovo Police emphasizes that, in coordination with the justice bodies, it will take all necessary legal actions until the case is fully clarified.
