Powerful explosion in a factory in Moscow, 25 people are injured

In an explosion at a factory northeast of Moscow, 25 people were injured, Russian state news agency RIA Novosti reported, citing the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The explosion occurred at the Zagorsk factory in the city of Sergiev Posad, which also produces equipment for the military, Telegraph reports.

It is suspected that a warehouse of pyrotechnic materials that a company had taken from the factory exploded. The two injured were transported to the hospital.

"According to preliminary information, the explosion was not caused by unmanned aerial vehicles," reported TASS.

The Zagorsk plant develops and manufactures optical equipment for the military, law enforcement agencies, industry and healthcare. /Telegraph/
