The Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police, has arrested the suspect LA for the criminal offense of "Counterfeiting Money".
According to the announcement, during the search, 4,796.40 euros in counterfeit money were seized, as well as various materials related to this operation, including 123 sheets of photocopied banknotes, 12 cut sheets, and an iPhone.
In total, the following were confiscated:
– 123 A4 sheets with photocopied €10 and €20 banknotes;
– 12 A4 sheets cut after the banknotes have been cut;
– 1 iPhone phone;
– 2 x €100 = €200
– 108 x €20 = €2,160
– 40 x €10 = €400
– 23 x €50 = €1,150
– 4 x €100 = €400
– 5 x €50 = €250
– 5 x €20 = €100
– 7 x €10 = €70
– 11 x €5 = €55
The suspect has been ordered to be detained for 48 hours, while the State Prosecutor will request his detention within the legal deadline.
The Prosecutor's Office emphasizes that it will continue the fight against corruption and economic crime, by taking all legal actions to prevent and punish these offenses.
